These are virtually everywhere! But if you want to get a ton of them, don't be afraid to ask for a better deal!

We were on a mission to find cojines during this trip, but prices varied so much every place we visited!
These are the four cojines Sharice decided to purchase.

These were one of my favorite things to look out for. They are so beautiful! Once again the prices varied every place we visited though.

Painted Bowls
Bowls, bowls and more bowls! These were one of the most common items we found. They vary a lot in size, so in order to give you consistent prices, we searched for the smaller ones that fit easily in our hands. The cheapest price we discovered was $60; however we forgot to document it so the next best was for $70 in Isla Mujeres. One of our friends bargained and even found some for $50! If you are interested in these, Isla Mujeres has a great selection and the best prices! If you don't go there though you can try Playa del Carmen and Chichen Itza. (Don't be afraid to bargain in Chichen Itza!)
Bracelets
These can be found pretty much everywhere there are vendors and sometimes in the streets. Beautiful women are dressed up carrying bundles of bracelets, scarves, and other handmade embroidered objects. These bracelets are one of the cheapest and easiest things to buy if you're gift shopping. In most places they sell for $10 each; however, some vendors originally asked for $20. The cheapest we found were at the ruins in Palenque, Chiapas. A little girl was selling them for $5 so Theresa and I each bought 10. It's not polite to go any cheaper than that, because they do spend the time to make them themselves.
Cojines
These seemingly harmless pillow covers became one of the most searched for souvenirs in our little group of two. We scoured every promising shop we encountered in the Yucatán, promising ourselves we would not leave México without at least one, and yes, they are for our future houses! The lowest asking price we found for a cojín was in Chiapas at $190, but... Wait for it! In Mérida we found a shop with a decent selection of cojines, right off the Plaza Grade. After bargaining, we walked away with three cojines for $180 each! Despite what we thought, Chiapas had the smallest selection and Playa del Carmen had the biggest, but in some places, the asking price was over $300!
Here's a tip! The more of an object you buy, the more chances you have of getting a cheaper price. Shop with friends and pay together!
